Team Strike Executive office chair

The Executive version of the Team Strike has a substantial, height-adjustable high back and an adjustable headrest, on top of the comfort seat and the synchronised mechanism that made the Team Strike's name. Intended for those who sit at a desk all day.

What does the Martindale figure mean?
In the Martindale test a fabric sample is rubbed back and forth under a weight until wear appears. The figure is the number of rubs the fabric achieves. For a chair you sit in all day, 40,000 is the lower limit; above 100,000 is suitable for 24-hour use such as control rooms and shift work. A higher figure says something about wear resistance, not about how the fabric feels.
Differences between the materials
- Fabric is woven and breathes well. Polyester is strong and colourfast; at 150,000 Martindale, BN Bondai achieves the highest figure among the polyesters.
- Faux leather (NX, SC) is a woven backing with a coating. It wipes clean with a damp cloth, but it breathes less well than fabric.
- Wool blends (MF, SY, RM) feel fuller and are less prone to pilling than polyester.
- SX Box Land is full grain leather from the Italian tannery Dani; SX+NX combines that leather on the contact surfaces with faux leather on the back and sides, at a lower price.
- Mesh is used in the back. RF Polo achieves 100,000 Martindale, RR Runner and RY Rhythm 70,000.
All fabrics, mesh and leathers comply with EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2, the European standard for the fire behaviour of furniture upholstery.
