Consumables: toners, drums, and paper for your printer
A printer or multifunctional device is only as good as its consumables. Empty toner, a worn-out drum, or incorrect paper lead to poor print quality, malfunctions, and unnecessary downtime. At BNR Kantoor, you'll find original and compatible consumables for all common brands and models. Also, check out our printers and multifunctional devices.
Types of consumables
Toners
Toners are the ink cartridges for laser printers and multifunctionals. They contain toner powder that is fixed onto the paper. Available as original toner from the manufacturer or as compatible toner for a lower price per page. Available for black-and-white and color printers.
Drums
The drum (also known as an OPC drum or imaging drum) is the component that transfers toner powder to the paper. In some printers, the drum is integrated into the toner cartridge; in others, it's a separate component that needs to be replaced periodically. A worn-out drum leads to streaks or smudges on the printout.
Printer paper
Printer paper is available in various weights and sizes. Standard office paper is 80 gsm in A4 size. For presentations and reports, choose heavier paper (90-120 gsm). A3 and larger sizes are available for large-format printers.
Ink cartridges
Ink cartridges are the consumables for inkjet printers. They contain liquid ink and are available as original or compatible cartridges. Available in black and color, individually or as multipacks.
Original vs. compatible: what's the difference?
- Original consumables are made by the printer manufacturer and guarantee optimal print quality and reliability
- Compatible consumables are made by third parties and offer a lower price per page with comparable quality
- Both options are available at BNR Kantoor
Managed Print Services: never run out of toner again
With Managed Print Services from BNR Kantoor, consumables are automatically replenished before they run out. You'll never have to keep track of when the toner is low again.
Frequently asked questions about consumables
How do I know which toner I need?
The toner model number is listed in your printer's manual or on the empty cartridge itself. You can also look up the printer model on our website or contact our customer service for advice.
How often should I replace the drum?
The lifespan of a drum varies by model but is typically 3 to 5 times longer than that of a toner cartridge. The printer will issue a notification when the drum needs replacing.
