Cable ducts & cable trays: neatly and safely conceal cables

Loose cables along walls, across the floor or on the desktop are unsafe and unprofessional. Cable ducts and cable trays offer the solution: they neatly guide cables from A to B and keep them out of sight. At BNR Kantoor you will find cable ducts and cable trays for every situation and every type of workplace. Also view our complete range of electrification & cable management.

Cable ducts vs. cable trays: what's the difference?

A cable duct is a closed or open profile that guides cables along a surface — on the wall, under the desk or along a shelf. A cable tray is an open bin or net that is mounted under the desktop and collects cables. Both are complementary and are often used together.

Types of cable ducts

Wall cable ducts

Wall cable ducts are mounted along the wall and neatly guide cables from the power outlet to the workstation. Available in various widths and colors, suitable for any interior.

Desk cable ducts

Desk cable ducts are mounted along the back or side of the desktop and neatly guide cables to the cable tray or power outlet. Ideal for use in combination with a desk or sit-stand desk.

Floor cable ducts

Floor cable ducts are mounted on the floor and safely guide cables across the floor — without tripping hazards. Ideal for temporary installations or areas where cables need to cross the floor.

Types of cable trays

Metal cable trays

Metal cable trays are robust and durable. They are mounted under the desktop and offer plenty of space for cables, power strips and adapters. Available in various widths and lengths.

Cable nets

Cable nets are flexible nets that are stretched under the desktop. They are easy to mount and offer a light, open solution for collecting cables and adapters.

Cable trays for sit-stand desks

For sit-stand desks, special cable trays are available that can move with the height adjustment. They keep cables neatly bundled without becoming taut when adjusting.

Benefits of cable ducts and cable trays

  • Safer workplace: no tripping hazards from loose cables
  • Professional appearance: neat and tidy workplace
  • Less wear and tear on cables due to protection
  • Easier maintenance and management of equipment
  • Available in various colors to match the interior

Frequently asked questions about cable ducts and cable trays

What is the best solution for under the desk?

A cable tray under the desktop is the most complete solution: all cables, power strips and adapters are collected in one tray and are completely out of sight. Combine with a cable grommet in the desktop for a completely cable-free work surface.

What width cable duct do I need?

The required width depends on the number of cables that need to go through the duct. As a rule of thumb: add up the diameter of all cables and choose a duct that is at least 1.5 times as wide for easy installation and future expansion.

Can I also have cable ducts installed?

Yes, BNR Kantoor provides delivery and installation throughout the Netherlands. Please contact our customer service for a customized quote.
