Oval meeting tables

An oval meeting table combines the length of a rectangular table with the open feel of a round one. Without corners, the people at the ends can follow along better and nobody sits on a corner. A barrel shape or Danish oval goes a step further: the top is wider in the middle than at the ends, so everyone has a view of each other and of the screen.

Oval, ellipse or barrel shape?

• Oval and ellipse: the classic shape with rounded ends, such as the Qfour oval 240 x 120 cm, the Proton oval, the oval table with star base and the X2 and Q4 oval by Quadrifoglio.
• Barrel shape: the top widens towards the middle, as on the Qfour barrel shape, the Proton barrel shape, the Flexaro barrel shape 240 x 120 cm and the Q4 barrel shape.
• Danish oval: a soft, super-elliptical shape, 120 cm in the middle and 90 cm at the ends: the Danish oval meeting table 240 x 120 cm.
• Boardroom: the Manager ellipse 320 x 120 cm and the Manager oval 420 x 138 cm with cable tray, or the Tmeeting 1 in oval and barrel shape up to more than seven metres.

The Qfour, Proton and Manager are BNR's own tables and stock items: delivered and installed within 5-10 working days.

Frequently asked questions

How many people fit at an oval table of 240 x 120 cm?

Six to eight people can meet comfortably at an oval or barrel-shaped table of 240 x 120 cm.

What is the advantage of a barrel shape?

With a barrel shape the middle is wider than the ends. The people along the long sides therefore sit in a slight curve and can see each other and a screen at the end of the table.

Can I have power built into the top?

Yes. For most tables you can order a built-in unit such as the Power Spot or the Pop-Up meeting power unit. You will find more options under electrification and cable management.
