Counter and reception chairs
A counter or reception chair is an office chair with a taller gas lift and a foot ring. It puts you at the right height at a reception desk, a counter, a high workbench or a standing-height desk, with your feet resting on the ring instead of dangling above the floor.
Which high chair suits your workspace?
- Counter and reception: the Se7en Anne's counter LX001 and Julian's counter LX002 are the counter versions of a full office chair, with synchronous mechanism and a polished aluminium foot ring.
- Workbench and production: the Se7en Industry 9631 (seat height 57-83 cm) with washable Skintec upholstery, and the high work chairs WL1344 and WL1349.
- With mesh back: the WL1349 mesh, with a seat height of 60 to 86 cm the tallest in the range.
- Stool without backrest: the W1332 and WL1335 with round seat and foot ring, for laboratory and workshop.
What seat height do you need?
Measure the height of the worktop. For a counter or workbench of about 90 to 105 cm, a seat height of around 60 to 80 cm works well. Your elbows should then be just above the top, with your feet flat on the foot ring.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a counter chair and a work stool?
A counter chair has a backrest and often armrests and a synchronous mechanism, for people who sit behind the counter for long periods. A work stool is more compact and easier to move aside, for shorter or alternating sitting.
Can I also work on a sit-stand stool?
Yes. For alternating between standing and leaning, the sit-stand stools are more suitable than a high chair.
How is the chair delivered?
We deliver throughout the Netherlands, on weekdays during office hours. Delivery is free of charge on orders from €500 (excl. VAT); below that we charge €24.95. Made-to-order versions have a longer delivery time; it is stated with the product.
