Floor coverings for the office

Finishing & furnishing · Floor coverings

The floor determines how an office sounds, walks and looks

BNR advises on, supplies and lays carpet, carpet tiles, PVC, vinyl and tiled floors. For each space we choose the finish that suits the use, the acoustics and the maintenance.

What we do

With us a floor covering is a project, not a webshop item

A floor is measured up, ordered to size and laid. That is why floor coverings are not in our webshop: you receive a proposal per space and a quotation, not an item in a shopping basket. We advise on, supply and lay carpet, carpet tiles, PVC, vinyl and tiled floors for workstations, meeting rooms, corridors and canteens.

For each space we determine which floor suits the use, the acoustics and the maintenance. A corridor with a lot of traffic calls for something different from a meeting room where the reverberation is audible. We supply throughout the country; within approximately 50 kilometres around Moordrecht we come to your site for this.

Seven spaces where the floor makes the difference

Mood images of furnished offices from our own range. Each space puts different demands on the floor: one place has to dampen sound, another has to cope with dirt and traffic.

Three kinds of floor finish

What we supply and where it fits

Three groups, each with its own strong point: damping sound, maintenance, or a hard and water-resistant finish.

Carpet and carpet tiles

Dampens sound and reverberation · replaceable tile by tile

Carpet tiles can be replaced individually if damaged and are hard-wearing, antistatic and suitable for underfloor heating. Broadloom carpet gives a seamless finish for executive and meeting rooms. Both dampen sound and reverberation, and you notice that first on an open work floor.

PVC and vinyl

Easy to maintain · water-resistant · wood or stone look

Easy-to-maintain and water-resistant floors for canteens, reception areas and corridors with a lot of traffic. Luxury Vinyl Tiles have a wood or stone look, are scratch-resistant and, with an underlay, sound-reducing. We plan that underlay in advance, not afterwards.

Tiles, natural stone and poured floors

Hard · water-resistant · exclusive look

Ceramic tiles are water-resistant and easy to keep clean, fitting in entrances, corridors and sanitary areas. Natural stone such as marble, granite or slate gives an exclusive look and requires periodic maintenance. For warehouses, workshops and kitchens we also supply poured and epoxy floors.

Choice guide

Six questions that determine the floor choice

How much traffic walks over it?

Corridors, entrances and canteens get the most footsteps. There an easy-to-maintain, water-resistant floor works better than broadloom carpet.

How does the space sound now?

Carpet and carpet tiles dampen sound and reverberation. With a hard floor, an underlay beneath the vinyl is the means to reduce sound.

What happens in the event of damage?

Carpet tiles can be replaced individually if damaged. Keep a remainder of tiles back at handover, and a later repair is simply a matter of swapping.

What is underneath?

The subfloor determines whether levelling or pre-treatment is needed first. We assess that when measuring up, so that it is in the schedule and not in the overrun.

Is there underfloor heating?

Carpet tiles are suitable for underfloor heating. Tell us when we measure up whether there is underfloor heating, and we will take that into account in the material choice.

Does it fit with the rest?

The floor is chosen together with the wall, window coverings and furniture. You receive samples and colour advice to match your interior, to be assessed in your own space.

This is how a floor project goes

Four steps, from measuring up to handover

1

Measuring up and assessing the subfloor

We come round to measure up and inspect the subfloor. Where necessary we schedule levelling and pre-treatment.

2

Material choice and samples

For each space we determine the type of floor based on use, acoustics, maintenance and look. You receive samples and colour advice to match your interior.

3

Laying

Installation by experienced professionals according to the manufacturer's instructions. In phases where necessary, so that the disruption stays limited.

4

Handover

The floor is cleaned and handed over ready for use. You receive instruction on cleaning and periodic maintenance, with aftercare if you have questions.

Available from the webshop

Floor protection you can order right away

The floor finish itself goes via a proposal and a quotation. What you can order straight away is protection for the floor at the spot where the chair stands.
