Joy stool
Levertijd: 4-6 weeks
The Joy is a stool with a crisp, geometric shape: slim proportions, slightly angled faces and a colour contrast that brings out the form. Sitland supplies it in two heights and in two versions. A seat to pull up at a high table, an extra place in the reception area or a loose seat you move to wherever you need it.
Model
Sitland supplies four models: H500 and H600 on castors, and H500 and H600 in the 3D version. In our price list these four are called:
- Joy 50h mobile and Joy 60h mobile: on castors, so you can move the stool without lifting
- Joy 50h Ergo (3D) and Joy 60h Ergo (3D): the 3D version, without castors
If you would like to see how the 3D version moves before you order, we will show it to you in our showroom.
Upholstery
The fabric group determines the price. Within a group every colour costs the same. You choose the colour after ordering; we will contact you about this. All colours per fabric group are shown with the photos, and the complete fabric chart can be downloaded: fabric chart (pdf).

What does the Martindale figure mean?
In the Martindale test a fabric sample is rubbed back and forth under a weight until wear appears. The figure is the number of rubs the fabric achieves. A stool in a reception or meeting area is used fewer hours per day than an office chair, so all the groups here are more than sufficient. If the stool is placed in a heavily used communal area, choose a group above 100,000.
Differences between the materials
- Polyester (AL, ME, CH, ST, RG, WI, FT) is strong, colourfast and easy to maintain. CH, WI and FT are made from recycled yarn.
- Wool blends breathe, feel fuller and are less prone to pilling. The Kvadrat collections (RM, RW, HE, FD, S1, SE, S4) differ mainly in colour range and texture: Steelcut is coarse and lively, Fiord mottled, Hero plain.
- Faux leather (SC Secret) is a woven backing with a coating. It wipes clean with a damp cloth, which makes it the most practical choice for a stool used by many people.
All fabrics comply with EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2, the European standard for the fire behaviour of furniture upholstery.
