Furnishing an office is largely logistics. Choosing the furniture takes an afternoon; getting it onto the right floor, at the right moment, without work grinding to a halt, is the real job. Below is how that works with us for companies in South Holland.

From Moordrecht, in the middle of the region

BNR Totale Kantoorinrichting has been in business for more than 35 years. We were based in Rotterdam for many years and opened a new showroom in Moordrecht, at Westbaan 170, in November 2023. From there almost all of South Holland is within an hour's drive: Rotterdam, Gouda, The Hague, Delft, Leiden, Dordrecht and the Drechtsteden, the Krimpenerwaard and the Westland.

That makes a difference you only notice when something goes wrong. A top with a damaged corner, a missing part, a workstation that has to be in place the next morning after all: within the region that is one trip, not an additional shipment. We do deliver throughout the Netherlands, incidentally, and for large project furnishing jobs beyond it as well.

The showroom: by appointment

The showroom in Moordrecht is 1,000 m² and can only be visited by appointment. That is a deliberate choice: this way an adviser is always ready and you do not have to wait. There you see complete configurations instead of individual products — a black desk frame under an oak top, with the office chair that goes with it and a room divider next to it.

A showroom visit is mainly useful for two things that do not work on a screen: test sitting and top samples. The difference between two ergonomic office chairs you feel within ten minutes; the difference between two wood décors you only see side by side.

First a floor plan, and only then order

Send us the dimensions of the space and we will make a 2D or 3D floor plan free of charge, usually within three business days. It shows not only the desks, but also the walking routes, the acoustics and the ergonomic advice.

That drawing is mainly intended to discover what does not fit before you order. A meeting table that the chairs cannot fit around, a cabinet wall that blocks a window, a bench that the door hits: on paper that costs five minutes, on site a day. If you are still unsure about the configuration, this is the cheapest way to compare two variants.

Lead time and planning

We deliver and install items from stock within 5 to 10 business days of order confirmation. Items made to order have their own lead time — four to six weeks for a number of brand series — and that is stated with the product. For bespoke work and project furnishing we agree the lead time per project and set it out in the quotation.

You can see which items come from stock in the web shop. The Ciao, the Actiforce desks and a good part of the office chairs are listed as quick to deliver. With desks, pay attention to the top, because that determines the lead time more often than the frame does: on the Flexaro series the eight colours of top group 1 take one to two weeks, top groups 2 and 3 four to six weeks.

After the order confirmation we plan the delivery date with you and keep you informed of progress. For large projects we deliver in phases: per floor, per department or per room, so that your business keeps running during the fit-out.

Installation by our own team

The furniture is placed by our own installation staff, not by a hired-in party. We schedule the installation in consultation with you, so that your organisation stands still as little as possible.

After the installation we walk round with you to check that everything is in the right place, and we take away the packaging material. Office furniture carries a five-year warranty.

If you want to assemble it yourself, that is possible too: on request we supply products unassembled. That saves installation costs, but it takes you time and requires technical insight. With a single desk that is manageable; with twenty workstations usually not. The full explanation is on delivery and installation.

Narrow stairs, small lifts

In older buildings in the city centres of Rotterdam, Delft, Leiden and The Hague, access is more often the problem than the space itself. A building with a spiral staircase, a lift that a 200 cm top will not fit into, a fourth floor without a lift.

There are solutions for that. Where necessary we use furniture hoists or winch furniture in through windows or balconies. For secure locations our fitters can be screened. Report this kind of detail with your enquiry, then we take it into account in the planning and the quotation instead of it being a surprise on the delivery day.

The old furniture

Taking back and recycling your old office furniture is a paid service that we include in the quotation. Furniture that is still usable goes to sheltered workshops, the rest is recycled. Agree this in advance, because it saves a second transport if it goes along on the same trip.
