Unimesh meeting chair

The Unimesh is a visitor and meeting chair on a sled frame in high-grade steel tube with integrated armrests. The back is ergonomically shaped and covered with highly breathable mesh; the seat is made of shape-retaining cold-cure foam with Comfort Air System, which stays comfortable even during longer meetings. The chair is fixed to the floor: it does not swivel and is not height-adjustable. The frame comes in matt black, white-grey or chrome.

What does the Martindale figure mean?
In the Martindale test a fabric sample is rubbed back and forth under a weight until wear appears. The figure is the number of rubs the fabric achieves. For a meeting chair 40,000 is more than sufficient; anything above that is extra margin.
Differences between the materials
- Fabric is woven and breathes well. Polyester is strong, colourfast and easy to maintain.
- Faux leather is a woven backing with a coating. It wipes clean with a damp cloth, which is convenient in a heavily used meeting room.
- Wool blends (CS, SY) feel fuller and are less prone to pilling than polyester.
- Mesh is used in the back. RF Polo from FiDiVi Service is 100% polyester and achieves 100,000 Martindale; RR Runner and RY Rhythm from Gabriel achieve 70,000.
All fabrics and mesh comply with EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2, the European standard for the fire behaviour of furniture upholstery.
