Amber meeting chair

The Amber is a light side and meeting chair with a clean-lined shell. The shell can remain unupholstered or be given an upholstered seat cushion, and stands on four different bases. This means the same chair fits in a meeting room, at a project table and in a reception area.

The fabric group determines the price. Within a group every colour costs the same. You choose the colour after ordering; we will contact you for this. All colours per fabric group are shown with the photos, and the complete fabric chart can be downloaded: fabric chart (pdf).

What does the Martindale number mean?
In the Martindale test, a fabric sample is rubbed back and forth under weight until wear occurs. The number is the number of cycles the fabric achieves. For a side or meeting chair, 40,000 is more than sufficient; anything above that is extra margin.
Difference between the materials
- Polyester (AL, BN, ME, CH, ST, RG, WI, FT) is strong, colourfast and easy to maintain. Several of these fabrics are made from recycled yarn.
- Wool blends (MF, MW, CS, SY, YO, RM) feel fuller, breathe well and are less prone to pilling. They are somewhat more sensitive to stains.
All fabrics comply with EN 1021-1 and EN 1021-2, the European standard for the fire behaviour of upholstery. Most carry Oeko-Tex, EU Ecolabel or both.

- Shell colour (no extra cost): white RAL 9016, blue RAL 5009, sage green, brick red, mustard yellow or charcoal grey RAL 7011
- Castors for the mobile versions: standard 65 mm braked, or 65 mm unbraked at no extra cost. Hollow black unbraked Starck castors of 65 mm cost 55 euros extra
