Designer office chairs: seating comfort and appeal

Are you going for a modern, minimalist style? Or would you prefer a more luxurious look? Whatever you choose, our office chairs offer the perfect balance between functionality and flair. They are ideal for offices, home workspaces, and meeting rooms where both style and comfort are essential.

Types of designer office chairs at BNR Kantoor

In the BNR Kantoor assortment, you will find various types of designer office chairs. There are many different models with clever designs and beautiful colors. The chairs have different features regarding backrests, materials, chair base, and seat. For every wish, there is a beautiful designer office chair available. And admit it, that makes working just a little bit more enjoyable.

High or low backrest

You will probably notice that most office chairs have a high backrest, but we also have office chairs with a low backrest in our assortment. The backrest is essential for an ergonomic working posture.

Chairs with a high backrest are specially designed to provide good support for the back, shoulders, and neck, thereby reducing the strain on your shoulders and neck. If you spend the whole day sitting, a high backrest is probably the best choice.

Chairs with a low backrest are suitable for people who do not sit all day. Thanks to their practical and compact design, they do not take up much space. For people with a light weight and small stature, an office chair with a low backrest can be more comfortable.

Different materials for seat and backrest

When choosing an office chair, you have many different options regarding the materials for the seat and backrest, including various fabrics, mesh, PU, and leather. You also have a choice of different colors. The materials all have different fine properties.

Fabric office chairs are often breathable and feel soft. They are available in many colors and textures, making them easy to combine with any interior. If you sweat quickly, mesh is a good option. A leather office chair is chic but can be warm. PU leather is a synthetic alternative to real leather. It is durable, easy to clean, and has a similar appearance to leather.

Chair base with or without wheels

Most office chairs have wheels, allowing you to move easily behind your desk. Does your workplace have carpet? Then hard wheels are the best choice. If the office chair is on a hard floor covering – such as laminate, parquet, or tiles – then soft wheels are a better choice. Do you prefer an office chair without wheels? That is also possible. An office chair without wheels gives the room a calmer appearance. The chair is also often less wide.

Different materials for office chair base

Regarding the material of the chair base, you also have various choices. Each material type has its own appearance and durability. Aluminum is lightweight yet strong, making it a popular choice for modern office chairs. Steel bases are very durable and offer excellent stability. Steel often looks great in industrial interiors. Plastic bases are generally the most affordable option and are available in various colors and styles.

Different seat dimensions

For an ergonomic working posture, it is important that an office chair can properly support body weight. Taller people need a larger seat and sturdy construction. Some employees will therefore benefit from a larger seat. At BNR Kantoor, chairs are available in various seat depths and widths.

Other specifications

Do you want extra flexibility in your sitting posture or will the chair be used by multiple people? Then a model with adjustable seat height, armrests, and backrest is a smart choice. This allows you to customize your designer office chairs. With a swivel chair, you effortlessly move to where your attention is needed. The following specifications make your workday even more comfortable:

• Tilt mechanism: This allows you to adjust the angle of the backrest for a dynamic sitting posture.
• Adjustable seat depth and height: Essential for an ergonomic posture, ensuring your feet are flat on the ground and your back is well supported.
• Adjustable armrests: Support your arms and reduce tension in your shoulders and neck.

When to choose which designer office chair?

As you can see, there are many different characteristics to consider when choosing a designer office chair. Ask yourself the following questions:

• Material: Do you sweat quickly (mesh), is it important to you that the chair is easy to clean (PU), or are you going for a luxurious look (leather)?
• Seat: Adjust the size of the seat to your height and weight.
• Appearance: Which style and materials suit the rest of your office interior?
• Budget: How much budget do you have? There are options in every price range, including budget office chairs.
