Monitor arms
A monitor arm lifts the screen off the desktop: you set height, distance and viewing angle independently of each other, and keep the top free for work. With two screens it also saves space and cable clutter.
Most of the range comes from Dataflex: the BN series with single and double arms for mounting on the top (including BN110, BN210, BN132, BN142, BN152, BN602 to BN672 and BN852/BN862), plus wall models (BN032, BN042, BN052) and ceiling models (BN562, BN572). In addition the Chicago monitor arm from Filex, the X-Monitorarm from Flexaro and the Focus monitor arm from BNR.
When choosing, look at the weight and the VESA size of your screen and at the thickness of the desktop; the clamp or grommet has to fit it. You will find further workstation accessories under the ergonomic accessories and the cable management.

Monitor Arms: Ergonomic Working and More Desk Space
A monitor arm is one of the most effective ergonomic investments for the workplace. By positioning your monitor at the correct height, angle, and distance, you significantly reduce neck, shoulder, and eye strain. At the same time, you free up valuable desk space because the monitor no longer sits on a stand. At BNR Kantoor, you'll find monitor arms for every situation: from compact single arms to powerful double arms for multiple screens. Also, check out our other ergonomic accessories.
Types of Monitor Arms
Single Monitor Arms
The most common variant: one arm for one monitor. Ideal for standard workstations with a single display. Available with a desk clamp or grommet mount.
Dual Monitor Arms
Dual monitor arms support two monitors on a single mounting point. Ideal for workstations with multiple screens, such as for financial professionals, developers, or graphic designers. Saves a lot of desk space compared to two separate arms.
Monitor Arms for Large Screens
For ultrawide or large monitors (27 inches and larger), reinforced monitor arms with higher weight capacity are available. Always check the weight and VESA size of your monitor.
Monitor Arms for Sit-Stand Desks
For a sit-stand desk, a monitor arm is extra valuable: the monitor moves with the desk height and always remains at the correct viewing height, both when sitting and standing.
Benefits of a Monitor Arm
- Ergonomic: monitor always at the correct height, angle, and distance
- Space-saving: no monitor stand on the desktop
- Flexible: easily adjustable for different working positions
- Reduced neck, shoulder, and eye strain
- Tidy workspace due to integrated cable management
What to Consider When Buying a Monitor Arm?
- VESA size: check if the arm is compatible with your monitor (75x75 or 100x100 mm)
- Weight capacity: check the weight of your monitor
- Mounting: desk clamp (most common) or grommet mount
- Reach: how much freedom of movement do you need?
- Cable management: are the cables neatly hidden within the arm?
Combine with Other Ergonomic Accessories
A monitor arm is most effective as part of a complete ergonomic workstation. Combine it with an ergonomic office chair, a sit-stand desk, and ergonomic accessories such as a footrest, document holder, or laptop stand.
Frequently Asked Questions About Monitor Arms
Does a monitor arm fit every monitor?
Most monitors have a VESA mounting point (75x75 or 100x100 mm). Check your monitor's specifications. Some all-in-one monitors or curved screens do not have a VESA connection.
How do I attach a monitor arm to my desk?
Most monitor arms are attached with a desk clamp that secures to the edge of the desk. For desks with a thicker top or a specific edge, a grommet mount (with a bolt through the desktop) is an alternative.
Do I need a monitor arm with a sit-stand desk?
A monitor arm is highly recommended with a sit-stand desk. Without a monitor arm, the monitor remains at a fixed height that does not move with the desk. With a monitor arm, you can easily adjust the viewing height for both sitting and standing work.
